No’Tyet first got a taste of bellydance at a teaser workshop a long time ago, in a city far, far away. Unfortunately the teacher lived in the next state over, and No’Tyet was forced to stay on the farm with the ‘droids (OK, just kidding about the ‘droids). Instead of studying dance with live teachers, she learned mostly from video for a few years, but eventually found a bellydance teacher after she moved to the Twin Cities. In 2005, No’Tyet learned that the Twin Cities had a hidden treasure…many talented and accomplished bellydance teachers! Ever since then only her lack of galactic credits has slowed her quest to learn as much as possible.

No’Tyet has spent a year or more learning from each of these local teachers: Jenny Piper, Theresa Kane, Suzanne D'Souza, Nancy Mikrut, and Erin Wallace. She is grateful for everything her generous teachers have taught her, and hopes to make them proud, even when performing Tribal Improv instead of Orientale.
